从“豆子”到“杯子” 江门打造咖啡产业全链条体系From "beans" to "cups", Jiangmen builds a complete chain system for the coffee industry

Jiangmen, Guangdong is known as the "first hometown of overseas Chinese in China". In recent years, a "coffee kingdom" with an annual output value of over 3 billion yuan has been built on this land that is not rich in coffee beans, and a complete industrial chain from raw bean trade, intelligent roasting to precision manufacturing has "grown" out of nothing. The connection between Jiangmen and coffee originated from overseas Chinese. After the reform and opening up, coffee companies from Hong Kong and Macao, which are geographically close and have close social connections, have turned their attention to Jiangmen. Relying on the global network of overseas Chinese hometowns, Jiangmen gathers over 300 types of premium coffee beans from major production areas such as Brazil, Ethiopia, and Colombia, with an annual import value exceeding 30 million yuan. Jiangmen is one of the earliest coffee roasting bases in mainland China, with 21 certified roasting enterprises and an annual production capacity of over 10000 tons. Its export volume accounts for 20% of the country's total. According to the "Qiaodu Coffee White Paper" released by the Jiangmen Municipal Bureau of Commerce and other departments, there are over 350 coffee equipment and spare parts enterprises in Jiangmen. About 40% of the country's stainless steel coffee utensils and one out of every five exported coffee machines are produced in Jiangmen. According to the Action Plan for Promoting High Quality Development of the "Qiaodu Coffee" Industry in Jiangmen City, by 2028, the coffee industry in Jiangmen will achieve high-quality development throughout the entire chain, forming an industrial development pattern of "large-scale planting, manufacturing advantages, trade channels, distinctive consumption, and integration of culture and tourism", and striving to build a Chinese (Jiangmen) coffee industry base.
