峰林有“咖位”!黔西南创新打造咖啡消费场景Fenglin has a 'coffee spot'! Innovatively Creating Coffee Consumption Scenarios in Southwest Guizhou

On July 3rd, tourist Huang Yino from Shenzhen left this sentence on his social media platform: "Rain falls on the peak forests and fields, and I encounter the echoes of coffee and art in Wayuan.
That day, it was raining in Wanfenglin, Xingyi, southwestern Guizhou. She pushed open the wooden door of Wayuan and ordered a cup of coffee called "Fumi". In this black themed space featuring Buyi old houses, I watched a Guizhou Longhua Stone Exhibition called "Folding".
Drinking coffee and experiencing different themes and landscapes can be seen everywhere in Xingyi City, southwestern Guizhou. Here, coffee shops are no longer simply beverage sales points. They are growing together with the mountains, rivers, old houses, sea of clouds, and rice fields of southwestern Guizhou, creating a unique "Xingyi style" coffee aesthetic.

Diverse scenes, coffee infused with interesting 'souls'
I have visited four coffee shops in Wanfenglin, Xingyi City for three days, each with its own unique characteristics, "Huang Yinuo said." This time, I came for the scenery, but I didn't expect the coffee shops in Wanfenglin to give me unexpected surprises.
The combination of Wanfenglin and coffee is not like 'entering', but more like 'symbiosis'. Huang Yino said that the most impressive tree he left the deepest impression on him was the lush tree in the village group of Nahui on the Wanfeng Forest. The sturdy trunk passes through the hall, and the branches and leaves provide a natural shade on the roof. Attached to the tree, there is a caf é called 'Zhiwuzhi Research Institute'. I heard some people call it 'village coffee' because it is rooted in the local fireworks. Others say it is' tree coffee ', which grows on trees and coexists with nature, "said Huang Yino.
Relying on nature, it's not just about the coffee shop without plants. Located on the edge of the cliff at an altitude of over 1300 meters at Yuhuangding in Xingyi, Yunshang House Coffee Shop offers visitors a close-up experience of the beauty of a sea of clouds. Here, coffee becomes a carrier of the sense of ceremony that freezes romance.
If these two cafes feel the gift of nature, then the Wuyuan Space in Wanfenglin is the sedimentation of culture. This caf é hidden in the old Buyi house changes its theme exhibition every once in a while, featuring paintings, photography, intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, and more. Each type of coffee, such as "Songjian Qu", "Baiyutang", "Liangyi", and "Fumi", has a name full of Eastern artistic conception. Paired with the master's collection of handmade coffee cups, every toast becomes a unique experience.
In addition to coffee, what we actually want to build is a 'bridge', "said Wang Yuanjun, curator of Wayuan Space, striving to use 'beauty' to build a bridge between the city and the countryside. Through the interaction between the city and the countryside and the co creation of artists and villagers, we aim to continuously inject vitality into the village.
Not only Wanfenglin, but also strolling through Xingyi City in southwestern Guizhou, you will find many such cafes. There is no unified design language and pricing strategy for these cafes, such as the "Zhishan Station" themed on trains, the "Yulang" themed on tropical plants, and the "Gucang" themed on collections. But each one has its own ideas and characteristics.

Deeply cultivate quality, grind out a mellow aroma in the "slow" track
Having themes and scenery is not enough. In Qiannan Prefecture, what makes coffee stand firm is the passion, perseverance, and exploration of coffee people.
The rabbit coffee in Xingyi Old Town is a place of enlightenment for many local coffee enthusiasts.
In 2014, due to her love for premium coffee, shop owner Chen Yanfang went to another city to learn coffee tasting and brewing techniques. One year later, I opened Rabbit Coffee.
But at that time, the coffee bean market price was high and the quality was uneven. In 2017, in order to take the initiative in quality, Chen Yanfang and her lover Li Ming were the first to launch a self roasting coffee bean model in Xingyi City.
In the baking room, Li Ming stood by the baking machine, closely monitoring the temperature and time curves, adjusting the baking parameters batch by batch. They tried to break the norm by using shallow baking to process traditional deep baked mantnin, and found that the bitterness of the finished product decreased while the richness remained. The small shop is flexible and can withstand trial and error, "said Li Ming. By utilizing these advantages, we present customers with premium coffee that is closer to the essence of beans and has a better flavor, which has also attracted a loyal group of coffee enthusiasts. We are also constantly innovating, and we have opened a Mengtian coffee shop in Wanfenglin. Children can play in the rice fields and fish there, and adults can leisurely drink coffee and eat kiln baked pizza. That's another experience
In addition to focusing on baking, coffee makers in southwestern Guizhou are also continuously exploring the upstream and downstream of the industry chain. Shop owner Long Yihong, who loves collecting and coffee, combined the two to open an ancient warehouse coffee shop called "Day Coffee Night Wine" in Xingyi city. Later, due to his love for and research in coffee cup making, he personally designed various cups with the Qiannan Mountain and Water imprint, which have been exported overseas.
I am optimistic about the future coffee market in southwestern Guizhou, "said Long Yihong. This year, the" Yitianyi "coffee and homestay in Wanfenglin has already opened. At the same time, he has extended the industry to the planting end, and the first 100 acres of coffee seedlings by Wanfeng Lake have been planted. Qiannan Prefecture has suitable geographical conditions and is one of the few places in Guizhou where coffee beans have been planted. Now that the coffee seedlings have begun to bear fruit, the harvest can be seen in about two years
From creating new coffee consumption scenarios to the entire industry chain, coffee in Qiannan Prefecture has gradually polished its local aroma on the "slow" track, and has also polished the new business card of coffee in the city.

Cluster development, a cup of coffee activates global cultural tourism
From Rabbit Coffee in 2015, Pushe Coffee in 2016, to the ancient warehouse of "day coffee and night wine", and now to various themed coffee shops, the coffee industry in Qiannan Prefecture has shifted from single point blooming to comprehensive layout. According to incomplete statistics, there are over 40 boutique "village cafes" and landscape coffee shops in the Wanfenglin Scenic Area alone. While tourists take photos of the beautiful scenery, they unlock leisure time during their travels with a cup of coffee. At the same time, various types of coffee shops in the city can also be seen everywhere, and "you can have coffee downstairs" has become a daily routine for local residents.
Moreover, the coffee culture in Xingyi continues to grow.
The Western Xingyi Division of the 2023 China Coffee Brewing Competition will be held. The first Wanfenglin Rice Field Coffee Culture Week and China Coffee Brewing Competition (CCBC) and China Coffee Cup Testing Competition (CCC) will be held in Wanfenglin Scenic Area, Xingyi, Guizhou in 2025.
In the past, competitions were mainly held in shopping malls. In 2025, our competition will enter the peak forest of mountains and rivers for the first time, providing a platform for participants to communicate with baristas from all over the world, which is conducive to enhancing the public's coffee tasting ability. "Zhong Qinghua, executive committee member of the China Coffee Alliance, said that in recent years, the coffee industry in Guizhou has grown rapidly, with many specialty cafes emerging and world coffee brewing competition champions born, forming a unique atmosphere for Guizhou coffee. The coffee consumption scene is more diverse, the consumer group is more diverse, and the combination of coffee and culture and tourism has a significant effect on the development of China's coffee industry and the significant improvement of coffee culture influence.

The distribution of coffee shops is mainly concentrated in scenic spots, leisure blocks, and gathering areas for nighttime consumption, "said Liu Yao, Deputy Director of the Qiannan Prefecture Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau. This not only provides tourists with diversified services such as rest, catering, sightseeing, and cultural experience, but also enriches the cultural and tourism consumption scene, prolongs tourists' stay time, and creates more employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for local people.
Deep in the peak forest, the aroma of coffee is drifting farther and farther away. From characteristic stores that coexist with trees, to the pursuit of excellence in self baking quality, and to the industrial pattern of cluster development, Qiannan has relied on its own landscape and cultural advantages to embark on a differentiated path of coffee industry development. A cup of coffee connects natural scenery, ethnic culture, and rural resources, adding new momentum to the integration of culture and tourism and rural revitalization.
