8月19日，有网友发帖称在南通市石庄服务区内看见一家星巴克，但装潢却与普通门店不同。该网友表示普通门店32元可以买到大杯美式咖啡，但在这家星巴克授权咖啡服务点位只能买到中杯美式咖啡。
8月27日，经视直播记者联系上星巴克官方客服，工作人员表示星巴克与雀巢确有此授权服务，并非“假”星巴克，而该咖啡服务统归雀巢运营管理。
雀巢旗下星巴克咖啡服务的专线客服表示，该项目为雀巢获得星巴克授权的星巴克授权咖啡服务，属于正版点位，服务区、学校、医院、办公场所等营业场景均可布设。雀巢拥有星巴克除线下门店饮品业务之外，包装咖啡、餐饮渠道咖啡及茶饮产品的全球营销权，咖啡机所使用的咖啡豆和星巴克门店一致；但饮品的制作工具、配方、成品口味能否和星巴克直营店完全相同，客服暂不清楚，该问题可登记反馈。
关于价格方面，该类授权自助点位售价可能比星巴克直营店高出一两元，点位之间价格并不统一，不同场景、不同城市定价均可存在差异。至于全国点位总数，客服暂无确切数据，大部分设有星巴克门店的城市基本都已开放该项咖啡服务。
