“啡常碳索”游戏:在趣味中践行低碳选择

走进慈善超市:感受公益的温度
On September 2nd, a unique sustainable public welfare activity kicked off at Zhenru Charity Supermarket in Putuo District, Shanghai. The event is supported by the Shanghai Leyang Mangrove Charity Center, with the theme of "Coffee Carbon Footprint". Through immersive science popularization and hands-on experience, sustainable concepts are integrated into daily life, opening a low-carbon exploration journey from "beans" to "dregs".
Decoding the carbon footprint of coffee
The event begins with a science popularization lecture that is easy to understand. The lecturer system analyzed the carbon footprint of coffee throughout its entire lifecycle, from cultivation, transportation, grinding, extraction to consumption and disposal, making participants aware that the environmental cost of a cup of coffee far exceeds the electricity consumption during brewing. Through a detailed breakdown of each link, everyone has gained a new and profound understanding of the ecological costs hidden behind daily consumption behavior.
The game "Brown Carbon Rope": Practice low-carbon choices in fun
After theoretical learning, a customized interactive game called "Fei Chang Carbon Rope" was launched. Participants transform into "low-carbon detectives" and simulate the carbon footprint journey of coffee on a chessboard - by rolling dice and answering environmental questions or responding to various "high carbon trap" events based on the squares they stay in. The game provides an immersive experience, allowing everyone to truly feel that every small choice in daily consumption is affecting the "body temperature" of the earth. The on-site laughter and contemplation intertwined, creating a lively and educational atmosphere.
Entering a charity supermarket: experiencing the warmth of public welfare
The event also specially arranged a visit to the Zhenru Xingyuan Charity Supermarket. In the detailed explanation of the operation personnel, not only did everyone see how the company's love resources are transferred to those in need through this platform, but they also deeply experienced how public welfare and charity can integrate into the community in a sustainable and dignified way, providing practical assistance to disadvantaged groups. This link extends the meaning of "sustainability" from environmental protection to social care, broadening the perspective.
'Trash is useful': Handmade experience gives waste new life
Under the guidance of the mentor, team members turn recycled coffee grounds into treasures and create creative works such as coffee grounds scented candles, environmentally friendly handmade soap, succulent potted plants, etc., endowing waste with new value and beauty. Every practical coffee grounds craft carries personal practice and profound reflection on sustainable living.
The activity integrates the three concepts of "employee public welfare, child care, and circular economy", and in an innovative and profound form, refines the grand proposition of sustainable development from ecological protection to the daily choices of every employee, and further extends to the community and neighbors. All handmade works will be used as follow-up charity items, and all proceeds will be donated to projects for disadvantaged children, creating a warm loop between circular economy and public welfare charity, and allowing love and green to continue flowing in the community.
