At the opening ceremony, a concentrated signing ceremony for key projects was held, and 12 strategic cooperation agreements were reached, covering key areas such as financial empowerment, industrial ecology, AI intelligent manufacturing, cultural tourism integration, talent cultivation, and intercity linkage, achieving deep linkage of Shanghai Guangzhou coffee culture.
At the event, Caf ē n, a rising star from Edinburgh, UK, won unanimous praise in the European specialty coffee circle for its baking philosophy of "minimalism and scientific intervention"; The Five Elephant in Berlin, Germany, as a pioneer of the third wave of coffee in Europe, has been praised by global media as the "coffee business card of Berlin", presenting a textbook style classic baking style of "clean and bright"; Norm, from Penang, Malaysia, has been focusing on the daily practice and steady presentation of premium coffee for the past decade.
During the event, in addition to overseas specialty coffee, hundreds of specialty coffee brands from over 30 cities across the country also appeared on the same stage. From the aroma of brewing in Beijing's hutongs, to the emotional warmth of community stores in Xiamen, from the global flavors baked by teams from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, to the creative spaces in the century old Western style buildings on Tianjin's Five Avenues... Independent coffee shops and chain coffee brands from cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Xiamen work together to build a direct bridge between "origin processing consumption" with a cup of good coffee.
The event also brought together premium green beans from core coffee producing regions around the world, such as Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, and Rwanda. The coffee plantations in Menglian, Dehong Ruili, and Baoshan in Yunnan, China, also bring high-quality bean sources directly harvested from their planting origins, showcasing the first flavor journey from seeds to cups.
In addition, the 2026 Guangzhou Coffee Culture Season Barista Professional Skills Competition and the "New Coffee Power" Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition have been officially launched, promoting the integration of Guangzhou coffee skills with international trends and providing a dream incubation platform for young entrepreneurs. The "Coffee Baking Skills Talent Training Base" was unveiled on the same day, dedicated to creating a highland for coffee talent cultivation, allowing young people to unleash their passion at the forefront of the coffee industry in the Greater Bay Area.
