Chinese Consul General in Rio de Janeiro, Tian Min, stated in her speech that tea and coffee carry the unique cultural traditions and way of life of China and Pakistan, and also witness the friendship formed by long-term exchanges between the two peoples. This exhibition uses tea and coffee as a medium and cultural life as a bridge, fully showcasing the profound connotation of cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and Pakistan. This year is the "China Pakistan Cultural Year". We believe that this exhibition will further enhance the understanding and knowledge of each other's cultures among the Chinese and Pakistani people, promote cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and Pakistan, and deepen the friendship between the two peoples.

The continuous deepening of the relationship between Brazil and China is the result of joint efforts by all parties for a long time, "said Sergio Viana, the director of the Rio Botanical Garden. Tea and coffee not only have their own practical value, but their related social rituals are also the bond that connects people, which is the core intention of this exhibition. The exhibits in this exhibition are beautiful and moving, full of deep affection and thought-provoking, connecting the profound friendship between Pakistan and China.

George Ball, Deputy General Manager of State Grid Bus Control Company, said that the theme of "tea and coffee" contains rich connotations of cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and Pakistan. Tea and coffee both originate from nature, serve humanity, and embody people's aspirations for a better life. I hope that through this exhibition, more visitors can understand the historical stories behind tea and coffee, feel the deep resonance between Brazil and China in nature, culture, and lifestyle, and also let the friendship between Brazil and China take root, sprout, and blossom here.

The Rio Botanical Garden was founded in 1808 and is a comprehensive botanical garden with a long history in Brazil. There are still two Chinese tea trees planted by the first group of Chinese immigrants over 200 years ago in the park. In 2024, State Grid Corporation of China and Bank of Communications Brazil jointly repaired a dilapidated building in the park and opened the "Tea Yuan · China Pakistan Friendship Park", with a permanent "Tea Road" tea culture exhibition. In 2025, the Mount Taishan Stone inscribed with "Mountains and Seas Are Bound, Sailing in the Same Wind and Rain" and the Chinese tea seedlings will be settled in the Friendship Park, forming a unique cultural carrier of Chinese and Pakistani tea culture.

According to the organizers, relying on the opportunity of the "China Pakistan Cultural Year", this exhibition upgrades the original tea culture exhibition, deeply explores the natural origins, folk history, and aesthetic of life behind the two major beverages of tea and coffee, and vividly demonstrates the spiritual resonance of the deep connection between the development concepts and life interests of China and Pakistan through the dialogue of plants and trees in chronological order. This exhibition is open to the public for free and will continue to be a permanent exhibition open to Rio citizens and tourists.
