云南省农科院驻村工作队助力平寨村咖啡产业提质升级Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences stationed in villages to assist Pingzhai Village in upgrading the quality of coffee industry

为补齐特色农业产业短板，夯实群众稳定增收根基，近日，云南省农科院驻景谷傣族彝族自治县凤山镇平寨村委会驻村工作队充分依托派出单位资源优势，主动对接院内帮扶专项经费，成功争取院级帮扶资金6.3万元，聚焦村内咖啡传统品种老化、产量品质偏低的发展难题，精准采购35000棵优质新品种精品咖啡苗，无偿发放给村内咖啡种植农户，以实打实的产业帮扶举措，推动平寨村特色咖啡产业转型升级。

平寨村地处山区，气候温润、土壤适宜，咖啡种植是当地群众主要的经济收入来源，也是村域重点特色支柱产业。但长期以来，村内多数农户沿用老旧咖啡品种，存在抗病性弱、咖啡豆品相差、市场售价低等问题，产业增收瓶颈突出。了解到农户实际需求后，驻村工作队立足农业科研专业优势，深入田间实地调研土壤、海拔、降水等种植条件，筛选适配本地气候、抗病能力强、精品豆产出率高的优质咖啡新品种，严把种苗检疫、苗木长势质量关口，从源头保障种苗成活率与后期产量。

此次发放的35000棵精品咖啡苗，覆盖平寨村多个村民小组，有效扩大精品咖啡种植规模，帮助农户省去种苗采购成本，降低种植投入压力。相较于传统品种，新品种咖啡豆风味更佳、市场溢价空间更大，预计能帮助种植户每亩增收2000元以上。

In order to fill the gaps in the characteristic agricultural industry and consolidate the foundation of stable income growth for the masses, the Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences stationed in Pingzhai Village Committee, Fengshan Town, Jinggu Dai and Yi Autonomous County, recently fully relied on the resource advantages of the dispatched units, actively connected with the special funds for assistance within the institute, successfully obtained 63000 yuan of assistance funds at the institute level, focused on the development problems of aging traditional coffee varieties and low yield and quality in the village, accurately purchased 35000 high-quality new varieties of premium coffee seedlings, and distributed them free of charge to coffee planting farmers in the village. With practical industrial assistance measures, it promoted the transformation and upgrading of Pingzhai Village's specialty coffee industry.

Pingzhai Village is located in a mountainous area with a warm climate and suitable soil. Coffee cultivation is the main source of economic income for the local residents and a key characteristic pillar industry in the village. However, for a long time, most farmers in the village have been using old coffee varieties, which have problems such as weak disease resistance, differences in coffee bean quality, and low market prices, leading to prominent bottlenecks in increasing industrial income. After understanding the actual needs of farmers, the village work team based on the professional advantages of agricultural research, conducted in-depth field research on soil, altitude, precipitation and other planting conditions, screened high-quality coffee new varieties that are suitable for the local climate, have strong disease resistance and high yield of high-quality beans, strictly controlled the quality of seedling inspection and seedling growth, and ensured the survival rate and later yield of seedlings from the source.

The 35000 premium coffee seedlings distributed this time cover multiple village groups in Pingzhai Village, effectively expanding the scale of premium coffee planting, helping farmers save on seedling procurement costs, and reducing planting investment pressure. Compared to traditional varieties, the new variety of coffee beans has a better flavor and greater market premium space, which is expected to help growers increase their income by more than 2000 yuan per mu.
