With suitable natural climate conditions such as the dry hot valley of the Nujiang River, a unique coffee planting foundation and distinctive flavor have been formed; Relying on continuous technological innovation, iterative upgrading, and building a standardized and refined coffee production system; Through the integration of the tertiary industry and deep cultivation of the cultural and tourism track, thousands of coffee farmers share the value-added dividends of the industry... In recent years, Baoshan City in Yunnan Province has adhered to scientific planning and guidance, enabling the local coffee industry to embark on an industrial upgrading path from exporting raw materials to boutique brands, and from single planting to tertiary industry integration.
In Baoshan, there are both intelligent coffee planting bases, modern coffee processing factories, and experienced coffee estates. For the entire coffee industry chain, tourists can taste, see, and experience it. According to statistics, the planting area of premium coffee in Baoshan City reached 180600 mu last year, with a yield of 26800 tons, a premium coffee rate of 80%, and a deep processing rate of over 90%; There are 81 coffee processing enterprises, and Baoshan Coffee Industrial Park gathers 23 coffee related enterprises, forming a full range of product matrices from roasted beans to ready to drink coffee. Many migrant workers choose to return to their hometowns to start their own businesses.
Baoshan City continues to focus on the cultivation of premium coffee, and through the selection and promotion of more than 40 varieties suitable for microclimates such as Tiepika and Guixia, the coverage of excellent coffee varieties has been greatly increased. By promoting models such as "understory+coffee" and compound planting, Baoshan City added nearly 4000 acres of understory coffee planting last year. At the Lushan Cloud Data Base in Longyang District, the "banana+coffee+livestock grass+Chinese bee" three-dimensional compound planting and breeding model, combined with the "cloud smart agriculture chain" and drone transportation, has increased the average income of coffee by about 20% per mu, effectively reduced the average management and maintenance cost per mu, and achieved a win-win situation of economic and ecological benefits.
