Jiaxing, July 4th (Xinhua) -- In a small street corner and alley on Renmin East Road in Pinghu City, Zhejiang Province, a small shop called "Xiangxiang" emits a rich aroma of coffee. Inside the control panel, barista Wu Xiayi skillfully and methodically extracts coffee.

Unlike the bustling internet famous cafes in the market, the atmosphere inside the "Lane Towards" store is peaceful and quiet. This small public welfare caf é specializes in providing barista training and employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Recently, this caf é celebrated its third anniversary of opening. Over the course of three years, 'Xiang Xiang' brewed warmth and hope with cups of coffee.

At present, there are three stable disabled employees in the coffee shop, and Wu Xiayi is one of them. When I first came to the store, I knew nothing about making coffee. After learning, I can now independently make American style, latte, cappuccino, and even learn how to latte art, "said Wu Xiayi. Her job as a barista allowed her to experience the joy of labor.

In the eyes of Wu Xiayi's mother Xia Xueqin, the job of a barista has brought Wu Xiayi a life goal.

He usually learns how to make coffee by himself and also creates some innovative things with videos. The caf é accepted him, allowing him to slowly grow and shine, and helping him find his own direction in life, "Xia Xueqin said. Seeing the changes in her child, she felt very gratified." Our child has not been forgotten by society and is being watched by everyone

The daily operation of the coffee shop also relies on the warm support of a group of volunteers. The initiator of the project, Li Yongping, the head of the Love Station Social Work Service Center in Pinghu City, often recruits volunteers through her social circle. Seven days a week, people come to the store every day to voluntarily accompany these special employees.

Once, a customer came over from afar on a motorcycle. As soon as he walked in, he said, 'It's been a long time since I last came, and I miss you all.' We made him a cup of coffee, but the coffee machine hadn't been adjusted yet this morning, and the extraction taste wasn't ideal. We were about to pour it out and redo it, but the customer quickly said he didn't care about it and that he was drinking coffee out of his heart. 'Li Yongping said that she had always kept such a small matter in mind.

The small coffee shop has limited foot traffic, but its community is free of rent, utilities, and many caring enterprises and individuals have pledged "Love Coffee".

Gu Qiuping, the person in charge of Xinlong Paper Cup and Carton Factory in Pinghu City, has donated over 100 cups of coffee to those in need for free in the past three years through "Xiang Xiang". I want to do my best to spread the love, "Gu Qiuping said. Buying coffee and inviting everyone to taste it can also make the story of this coffee shop known to more people.

Since its opening, "Xiangxiang" Coffee has accumulated a total revenue of over 80000 yuan (RMB, the same below), with a surplus of over 9000 yuan, all of which is used for disability assistance and workshop operations. They often invite sanitation workers and hearing-impaired people to drink coffee for free, giving back warmth to more people.

When it comes to the original intention of starting the small shop, Li Yongping admitted that she has been doing charity work for the disabled for more than ten years and understands the difficulties of family members and disabled people. Persisting in operating this coffee shop is also a symbol of hope. I want to encourage disabled friends to step out of their homes and participate in work, and have the ability to support themselves, "said Li Yongping. (End)
