一杯养生咖啡，牵出香港1.12亿港元的虚拟币骗局A cup of health coffee leads to a virtual currency scam worth HKD 112 million in Hong Kong

一个打着养生咖啡旗号、在香港核心商圈开设实体店、举办线下活动的品牌，背后却被警方揭露涉及一宗以咖啡生意包装的虚拟货币投资骗局。

香港和澳门警方近日联合行动，截至8月11日，香港警方已接获269宗报案，涉案金额达1.12亿港元；按报案宗数计算，受害者平均损失超过40万港元，单笔最高损失达963万港元。

从实体店铺、明星站台到反诈骗宣传，这套包装首先建立起可见、可触的信任感；其后，投资者被引导下载相关应用程序，将资金兑换成虚拟货币并参与所谓任务，最终落入高息回报与层级佣金交织的陷阱。表面的咖啡生意，成了为虚拟货币投资骗局增添可信度的外衣。

早在今年5月，越南警方已就相关项目发出风险警告；7月13日，香港证监会亦将其列入可疑投资产品名单。直到应用程序停止运作、资金无法提取，更多投资者才意识到风险。实体场景并不等于投资安全，任何承诺显著高于市场常态回报的项目，都值得追问资金究竟流向何处。

A brand that operates physical stores and holds offline events in the core business district of Hong Kong under the banner of health coffee has been exposed by the police to be involved in a virtual currency investment scam disguised as a coffee business.

Hong Kong and Macau police have recently launched a joint operation. As of August 11th, the Hong Kong police have received 269 reports involving a total amount of HKD 112 million; According to the number of reported cases, the average loss of victims exceeded HKD 400000, with the highest single loss reaching HKD 9.63 million.

From physical stores, celebrity platforms to anti fraud propaganda, this packaging first establishes a visible and tangible sense of trust; Afterwards, investors were guided to download relevant applications, exchange their funds for virtual currency, and participate in so-called tasks, ultimately falling into the trap of high interest returns intertwined with tiered commissions. The superficial coffee business has become a cloak to add credibility to virtual currency investment scams.

As early as May this year, the Vietnamese police issued a risk warning for the relevant project; On July 13th, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission also included it in the list of suspicious investment products. It wasn't until the application stopped running and funds couldn't be withdrawn that more investors realized the risk. Physical scenarios do not equate to investment safety, and any project that promises significantly higher returns than the market norm is worth questioning where the funds are flowing.
