On May 15th, it was learned from the Guizhou Provincial Taxation Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation that the bureau's value-added tax invoice data showed that during this year's May Day holiday, the consumer market in Guizhou Province was booming, with both online and offline activities recovering simultaneously. Cultural and leisure activities continued to heat up, and many local businesses and consumers jointly drew a "hot consumption map".
The synchronous recovery of online and offline is full of consumer enthusiasm. During the "May Day" period, department store retail and convenience store retail in the province increased by 36.1% and 47.1% respectively year on year, and Internet retail increased by 14.8% year on year. The demand for seasonal changes has driven a significant increase of 179.1% and 486.0% in retail sales of textiles and clothing, respectively, while retail sales of shoes and hats have grown by 554.5% year-on-year. Under the stimulus of "trade in" and subsidy policies, retail sales of communication devices such as smartphones increased by 46.0% year-on-year.
Shopping, eating, and playing have new highlights, driving consumption to heat up. Among them, Guiyang and Zunyi contributed 88.7% of the province's coffee shop invoicing sales. In terms of accommodation, economy chain hotels increased by 30.1%, and homestay services increased by 7.9%, reflecting tourists' new preference for both affordability and experiential experience.
Cultural leisure continues to heat up, unleashing consumer vitality. Tax data is a barometer of the economy. The invoicing data for this year's May Day holiday not only records the speed of recovery in our province's consumer market, but also reflects positive signals such as the upgrading of residents' consumption structure, the strengthening of experiential economy, and the deepening of cultural and tourism integration.
