From June 10th to 13th, the second Cross Strait Coffee Cultural Exchange Event "Cloud Coffee · Fragrant Across the Taiwan Strait" jointly hosted by Yunnan Overseas Friendship Association and Yunnan Provincial Committee Taiwan Affairs Office was held in Baoshan, Yunnan, with nearly 200 coffee industry practitioners from both sides of the Taiwan Strait participating.
Baoshan City is located in western Yunnan, connected to the mountains and rivers of Myanmar, and is the golden origin of high-quality small grain coffee in Yunnan. The unique three-dimensional climate and high-quality ecological environment have nurtured Baoshan small grain coffee, which is known both domestically and internationally for its "strong but not bitter, unique aroma, and slightly fruity acid".
As of now, the coffee planting area in Baoshan City has reached 180600 mu, with a yield of 26800 tons. The green and organic certification base has reached 17000 mu, and the comprehensive coffee output value is 22.328 billion yuan; There are a total of 82 coffee enterprises in the city, with over 600 registered coffee trademarks, and the coffee quality rate ranks among the top in the province.
In Lujiang Town, Baoshan City, guests from both sides visited Xinzhai Village, known as the "Number One Coffee Village in China," to learn about the local coffee planting history and culture; Entering the Biton Coffee Industry Cultural Park, we can enjoy the aroma of coffee and discuss cooperation in coffee roasting, cup testing, and brewing.

In recent years, Taiwanese businessmen have successively laid out the coffee industry in Baoshan, Pu'er, Kunming and other places in Yunnan, with cooperation covering the entire chain of planting, processing and sales. From exchanging skills in baking cup testing to building coffee plantations and jointly developing products, the focus of cross-strait cooperation is accelerating towards quality improvement and refinement.

In this event, Baoshan Coffee Industry Association, Baoshan Technician College, Baoshan Zhongka Food Co., Ltd., and Taiwan Fine Coffee Association signed contracts to carry out in-depth cooperation in various fields such as coffee industry development, talent cultivation, and introduction.
Yang Zhu, Vice President of Baoshan Coffee Industry Association and Chairman of Baoshan Zhongka Food Co., Ltd., introduced that the company will introduce Taiwan's premium coffee production technology and selection system, and further enhance deep processing and quality control on the basis of Baoshan's original planting advantages.
Li Hong, Vice President of Yunnan Agricultural University and head of the Yunnan Coffee Industry Expert Group, said, "In the past, we focused more on improving planting technology, but now we are focusing on market development, product innovation, new technology application and other fields.
