U Cafe

The caf é provides guests with a vibrant 'third space'.
The space design of U Cafe is full of artistic sense.
An open and minimalist caf é space is more conducive to relaxation.
In May, at the inC Coffee Festival organized by Future Society, entrepreneurial youth Lai Peijun tasted coffee from all over the world at different stalls, accompanied by his clients. They were sipping coffee while negotiating business. There is no conference room or projector in this scene, but Lai Peijun has become accustomed to it. His entrepreneurial project is an AI product, and he initially worked in a coffee shop located on the first floor of Future Society. Now he has a dedicated office space, but many times he still chooses to meet with clients in cafes.
In Tianhe District, such cases are not uncommon. 743 coffee shops are becoming the vibrant 'third space' here - providing not only high-quality coffee, but also comfortable and relaxing spaces, where countless creative ideas emerge.

The 'third space' refers to a buffer zone that is different from work and home, as urban development reaches a certain level and more and more people need it. In Tianhe, coffee shops scattered in commercial districts, office buildings, creative parks, and communities are becoming such a 'third space'.
Work anytime, anywhere in the aroma of coffee
Recently, the reporter visited a caf é on the basement level of Bainaohui. During office hours on weekdays, the occupancy rate in the caf é reaches 80%, with one-third of the tables displaying laptops or tablets.
Mr. Jiang, a customer in the electronic product sales industry, made an appointment with him at noon to discuss business. Before meeting with the guests, he chose the nearest coffee shop for office. He often handles business here in Tianhe, so he often works temporarily in coffee shops in Tianhe. He said that convenient transportation, sockets, and internet in coffee shops are his most basic requirements. Coffee shops in Tianhe Road and Shipai commercial districts are scattered everywhere, and it is very convenient to find a place nearby almost anytime, anywhere.
Ms. Bai, a media worker, often works in coffee shops, and several coffee shops in Tianhe are her permanent residences. I often work on the go, and there is white noise and strangers in the caf é, which gives me the pleasure of being alone in a lively atmosphere and allows me to focus more on thinking and creating. "Ms. Bai said that sometimes she hears her neighbors chatting about interesting stories, which occasionally inspires her.
Negotiating projects, writing documents and PPTs, thinking creatively... Such scenes are played out every day in the coffee shops of Tianhe.
The 'Third Space' gathers innovative vitality
From the perspective of customers to that of coffee shop owners, the reporter discovered another phenomenon that corresponds to it. When visiting cafes in Tianhe District, the reporter noticed that these cafes generally attach great importance to spatial design. Creating a comfortable space for customers in bustling commercial, innovative, and entrepreneurial urban areas has become a key focus of many coffee shops.
Mai Jiarong, the founder of U Cafe (Lakeside Art Museum Store) located in Tianhe Smart City, paid attention to spatial design at the beginning of its opening. This caf é is located by the lake of Tianhe Wetland Park, with a large area of glass design that brings natural light and greenery into the interior. Guests can connect with the natural beauty outdoors by sitting indoors.
Adjacent to the caf é is the Heng Art Museum. Mai Jiarong integrates art and coffee from the art museum, and art and cultural and creative products can be seen everywhere in the coffee shop. "We hope to enhance the customer experience through art and spatial creation
This comfortable space perfectly meets people's needs. In recent years, Tianhe Smart City has continued to mature, with a large number of creative and technology-based enterprises gathering here. The coffee shop has attracted many office workers from the surrounding area. Some company employees come here to work, meet with clients, and hold discussion meetings during working hours. In response to these regular customers, Mai Jiarong also plans to develop community activities such as music therapy and water sports based on the coffee shop.
Round trip Coffee, located in Liuyun Community, was founded in 2015 and specializes in premium coffee. At the beginning of its establishment, Round Trip Coffee took a unique path - bridging the gap between indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a space without any special sense of separation. In addition, this store has removed excess decorations and created an open and minimalist space by blending the original wooden feel with cement architecture. We hope this space can provide guests with a relaxed feeling, allowing them to walk in and out without any barriers, "said Huang Wei, the person in charge of round-trip coffee.
U Cafe transforms the caf é into a place for customers to "relax"; Round trip coffee gives customers the freedom of "no threshold"... When a coffee shop begins to contemplate the feeling of "customers sitting inside", it has already completed the evolution from a "beverage shop" to a "third space". From a cup of coffee to a space, it reflects not only the change in the business logic of the coffee shop, but also the active commerce industry and the constantly maturing innovation and entrepreneurship ecology in Tianhe District. As more and more urban "third spaces" emerge, more and more innovative and entrepreneurial vitality gathers here, creating a continuous stream of vitality.
