政协委员与群众围坐，共品云南小粒咖啡的“乡土故事”CPPCC members sit around with the masses, enjoying the "local story" of Yunnan small grain coffee together

很多人可能不知道，云南咖啡已经在高原扎根了120余年。8月14日，西山区前卫社区政协委员联系界别群众实践站内，一场别开生面的咖啡科普课堂如期开讲，政协委员、民盟盟员、基层群众代表围坐在一起，大家围着一颗小小的咖啡豆，听讲解、提问题、谈想法，把产业科普和协商议事直接搬到了群众家门口。

在刚刚过去的第十届中国—南亚博览会上，云南小粒咖啡借着展会舞台，向八方来客亮出高原农林产业的独特魅力。另一边，2026滇池国际咖啡文化嘉年华火热出圈，一杯杯风味各异的咖啡，融入昆明人的市井日常。一边是展会聚光灯下的高光亮相，一边是城市街头的消费热潮，让大众对云南咖啡的种植、加工、产业现状生出更多好奇。这场活动正是把产业话题从展会、商圈延伸到基层，让普通市民近距离读懂云南小粒咖啡背后的故事。

本次活动由区政协环境保护界别组联合社会团体及港澳台侨界别组牵头举办，来自云南咖啡厂有限公司的讲师带来专题科普分享。得天独厚的高海拔、充足日照和昼夜温差，以及咖啡豆不同的处理方式，赋予云南小粒咖啡独特的风味……整场宣讲从咖啡的起源与世界传播讲起，讲师娓娓道来，梳理咖啡引种入滇的过往，细致讲解小粒咖啡品种特质、高原山地种植管护要点，完整还原一颗咖啡豆“从种子到杯子”的完整历程。一个个来自生产一线的实例，把抽象的产业知识变得鲜活直观，在场参会人员认真聆听、品鉴。

科普宣讲结束，现场进入互动提问环节，会场交流氛围迅速活跃起来。民盟盟员结合日常喝咖啡的真实体验抛出问题：网红Dirty咖啡对咖啡豆有什么要求？普通消费者如何分辨咖啡豆果香是自然发酵还是人工增味？果胶处理深浅会怎样影响咖啡口感？

面对这一系列问题，讲师依托行业积累融会贯通、举一反三，从普通市民选购咖啡的实用技巧，延伸到田间加工工艺逻辑、产业副产品开发的现实方向，把专业的行业知识转化为通俗易懂的大众科普，让在场人员在问答思辨之中，对本土咖啡产业建立起更加立体的认知。

随后开启协商议事座谈，参会委员、盟员、群众代表带着刚刚科普学到的内容，围绕西山特色农林产业提质、生态种植配套保障、本土农产品科普阵地建设、农文旅融合发展等话题畅所欲言。大家立足基层见闻，提出许多接地气、可落地的意见建议，委员现场收集群众诉求，相关内容后续将整理形成社情民意信息。

会后，两个界别组将梳理汇总活动收集的意见建议，促进协商成果落地。本次咖啡科普基层履职活动，丰富群众文化生活，普及本土产业知识，搭建起委员、盟员联系群众、汇集民智的沟通桥梁。昆明市西山区政协副主席、西山区工商联主席师华表示，“下一步，西山区政协将持续打造‘协商在基层·春城面对面’品牌，常态化下沉基层开展科普宣讲、产业调研与协商议事，深耕民生服务，汇聚基层智慧助力本土特色产业发展，推动政协履职扎根群众、务实见效。”

Many people may not know that Yunnan coffee has been rooted in the plateau for over 120 years. On August 14th, members of the Qianwei Community Political Consultative Conference in Xishan District held a unique coffee science popularization class as scheduled at the community practice station. Political Consultative Conference members, members of the Democratic League, and grassroots representatives sat together around a small coffee bean, listening to explanations, asking questions, and discussing ideas, bringing industrial science popularization and negotiation directly to the doorstep of the masses.

At the just concluded 10th China South Asia Expo, Yunnan Little Grain Coffee showcased the unique charm of the plateau agriculture and forestry industry to visitors from all over the world on the exhibition stage. On the other hand, the 2026 Dianchi International Coffee Culture Carnival has become popular, with cups of coffee with different flavors blending into the daily lives of Kunming people. On one hand, there is a shining display under the spotlight of the exhibition, and on the other hand, there is a consumption trend on the streets of the city, which has aroused more curiosity among the public about the cultivation, processing, and current status of Yunnan coffee industry. This event extends industry topics from exhibitions and commercial districts to grassroots level, allowing ordinary citizens to closely understand the story behind Yunnan's small grain coffee.

This event is jointly organized by the Environmental Protection Division of the District Political Consultative Conference, social organizations, and the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese communities. Lecturers from Yunnan Coffee Factory Co., Ltd. bring special science popularization sharing. The unique high altitude, abundant sunshine, and temperature difference between day and night, as well as the different processing methods of coffee beans, endow Yunnan small grain coffee with a unique flavor... The entire lecture starts from the origin and global dissemination of coffee, and the lecturer narrates the past of coffee introduction into Yunnan, explaining in detail the characteristics of small grain coffee varieties, key points of cultivation and management in high-altitude mountainous areas, and fully restoring the complete process of a coffee bean from seed to cup. Examples from the front line of production turn abstract industrial knowledge into vivid and intuitive, and attendees listen attentively and appreciate them.

The science popularization lecture has ended, and the on-site interactive questioning session has begun. The atmosphere of communication in the venue quickly became lively. Democratic League members pose a question based on their real-life experience of drinking coffee: What are the requirements of internet celebrity Dirty Coffee for coffee beans? How can ordinary consumers distinguish whether the fruity aroma of coffee beans is naturally fermented or artificially enhanced? How does the depth of pectin treatment affect the taste of coffee?

Faced with this series of problems, the lecturer relied on industry accumulation to integrate and generalize, extending from practical skills for ordinary citizens to purchase coffee, to the practical direction of field processing technology logic and industrial by-product development, transforming professional industry knowledge into easy to understand popular science popularization, allowing the attendees to establish a more three-dimensional understanding of the local coffee industry through Q&A thinking.

Subsequently, a consultation and discussion session was held, where attending committee members, alliance members, and representatives of the masses brought their newly learned knowledge to freely express their opinions on topics such as improving the quality of Xishan's characteristic agricultural and forestry industries, providing ecological planting support, constructing local agricultural product science popularization sites, and promoting the integrated development of agriculture, culture, and tourism. Based on grassroots observations, everyone put forward many down-to-earth and practical suggestions. The committee members collected the demands of the masses on site, and the relevant content will be compiled into social and public opinion information in the future.

After the meeting, the two sector groups will sort out and summarize the opinions and suggestions collected from the activities, and promote the implementation of the negotiation results. This coffee science popularization grassroots performance activity enriches the cultural life of the masses, popularizes local industry knowledge, and builds a communication bridge for committee members and alliance members to connect with the masses and gather their wisdom. Shi Hua, vice chairman of the Xishan District CPPCC in Kunming and chairman of the Xishan District Federation of Industry and Commerce, said, "In the next step, the Xishan District CPPCC will continue to build a brand of" consultation at the grassroots level, face to face with the Spring City ", and regularly sink to the grassroots level to carry out science popularization lectures, industrial research and consultation discussions, deepen people's livelihood services, gather grassroots wisdom to help the development of local industries, and promote the CPPCC to perform its duties with the masses, and achieve practical results."
